Hanna’s Wish, Inc. is a non-profit organization created to help serve children in need. We collect monetary donations that are then used to purchase items for children (such as clothing, shoes, coats, etc.) specific to each child’s need.
Hanna's Story
Hanna Renae Simmons couldn’t wait to make her arrival in this world. She was born 10 weeks premature at 2 lbs., and 12 ozs. From the day of her birth, she was a delight to all who knew her. She looked like a tiny little doll and she spread smiles and laughter freely. While she remained a petite little girl, she had a heart bigger than the sky. She never meet a stranger and always had a smile and kind word for every person she met no matter their age or circumstances. At the age of 9, a large brain tumor was found which robbed her of her voice. Complications following the removal of that tumor led to her death just months before her 11th birthday. While battling the tumor and its devastating effects, she never lost her ability to influence those around her and capture the hearts of everyone she came into contact with.
Hanna truly believed she could change the world by being kind, being a friend, and making others feel better about themselves. “Hanna’s Wish” was born out of our desire to continue her work in making others feel better. We hope our small gift will brighten the day of each recipient and we pray that each person will pass on Hanna’s kindness to others.
